If you’re gonna do a weird unique name, make it the middle name - you don’t have to use your middle name, and at most paperwork usually asks for a middle initial.
Then if the kid wants to use the unique name they can go by their middle (plenty of people do that when their first name is embarrassing or they share it with a relative), but they aren’t stuck with something weird.
